In early 2020 due to the Covid pandemic situation, almost all the countries closed their borders for tourists. Forget about tourism people were busy with survival issues, pandemic news, medicine, and testing. Few crazy people like me probably were searching destinations open for visitors instead of hospitals, medicine, and doctor because for me Diving is the only therapy that can keep me alive...and finally I found it, it is Maldives. #seadan #grouptour #maldives
Maldives is one among very few to dare to open its borders for international visitors from 15 July 2020 and soon flooded with visitors around the world. In 2020 it became the "World's leading destination " with 5,55,494 international visitors.
And how can I miss this opportunity? Booked a dive tour with seadan and reached the dreamland.

This tiny island country was always on my bucket list and when I reached here felt like my dream came true.....the color of the ocean the beaches and the warm weather were made this environment magical. www.seadantours.com/maldives
We reached Maafushi from the Male International Airport by speed boat and stayed in Kaani Grand in Maafushi. From Male to Maafushi by speed boat took us around 40 minutes.
Day 1- Our 5-day group tour to the Maldives began with interacting with other guests of the group at the hotel. Had dinner and spent the evening at the Bikini beach...

Day 2- Next day after having breakfast in the hotel we all gathered at the boat pool for the shipwreck visit and shark point. A full day trip from morning 8 to evening 4 pm. This day trip includes 3 different activities including a delicious lunch on a sandbank.
First, we reached the shark point by a speed boat ride of around 45 min. I had never expected such an interaction with the sharks ever...These sharks were around 6 feet to as large as 10 feet. We swam with them and they are just like a pet, gentle and always busy with their business and that is eating.
Next, we moved to the most attractive and popular destination 'The shipwreck', where we had free dives and snorkeling by the submerged ship near Keyodhoo Island (Vaavu Atoll).
We returned to our hotel by 4 pm and took a rest.

Day 3- The Next day was scheduled for the Diving. Those who were the certified divers went for the open water diving while the non-divers and nonswimmers went to Anantara for shallow diving.
Day 4- As a negative RTPCR report is mandatory, day 4 was kept free for sample testing. We all after breakfast went for the covid test to the health department at Maafushi and gave samples..
In the evening we went for the night fishing.
Day 5- The last day was scheduled for the half-day snorkeling at turtle island..the highlight of the day was the small solitaire turtle in the reef, lots of colorful coral fishes, and a shy Octopus.
After enjoying a day-long trip and lunch on a sandbank we returned to the hotel and spent the last evening doing a party.
Day 6- The departure day...on day 6 I felt like 6 days are not at all enough for Maldives trip...After checking out and with a Negative PCR report in hand I decided to come back again to explore the island country. you may also check for the upcoming events if you are also interested to have a full-pack adventure trip to Maldives.www.seadantours.com/upcoming-events
